2/20/2023 0 Comments Janes fleet commandStill, it's been years since I was last able to play it so I started off slow: a US CVBG vs. Granted it still behooves me to take action - IIRC from my old Windows XP days, while ships will shoot at missiles they seem to wait until they're about midway into the missile's maximum range to do so - but at least it's better than before where I lost ships because I wasn't paying attention. It's also pretty easy to manage an entire CVBG without getting too crazy, especially because this is the patched version where I don't have to hand-hold every unit. I love the 3D models, basic though they may be, because it's much more interesting than watching tracks on the screen (which I understand is what C:MANO does exclusively). Fortunately, the Steam version works quite nicely with only a minor annoyance at startup.įleet Command - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaįor me, this game strikes a good balance between simulator and arcade/game elements. Sadly I could never get it to work on Windows 7. This one I knew I was going to play and enjoy, because I actually already owned it back when it was still under the Jane's branding. Thus that leaves us with the topic of the thread: Fleet Command. Controlling only one ship? Fuck that noise. Alas, I'm not super interested in submarines so who know when/if I'll ever play Sub Command or 688(I). So I bought the Complete Naval Combat Pack on Steam for like $5, which is nice.
